What we collect
- Account information you provide: name, email, password (hashed).
- Book metadata you submit: title, author name, genre, ASIN/ISBN, cover image.
- Manuscript excerpts (first three chapters) for AI evaluation.
- Payment processing data via Stripe (we don't store card numbers).
- Standard web analytics (page views, referrers).
How we use it
We use your information to evaluate submissions, deliver awards and assets, send transactional and (with your consent) promotional email, and operate the service.
Manuscript handling
Manuscript excerpts are stored encrypted at rest, used only for judging, and deleted within 90 days unless you opt in to retention. We do not train models on your manuscript.
Sharing
We don't sell your data. We use service providers (Stripe, OpenAI/Anthropic for judging models, mail relay) under standard data-processing terms.
AI vendor data flow
Manuscript excerpts and metadata are sent to our AI judging providers (OpenAI and/or Anthropic) only for the purpose of generating your judging output. Per their enterprise terms, prompts and outputs are not used for training.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, deletion of your account, or a corrected record at any time via /contact. We respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use functional cookies for login sessions and preferences. Analytics is privacy-respecting (no fingerprinting).
